Minor Version Upgrades

A minor upgrade provides small enhancements to existing functionality, bug fixes, and cosmetic changes. Licensed users are entitled to free upgrades for all minor versions released during the lifetime of a major version. So, if you purchase a license for version 1.xx.xxxx, then all upgrades issued for version 1 will be free.

Major Version Upgrades

A major upgrade includes significant new functionality which was not available in the immediately previous version. When a major upgrade takes place (for example from version 1.xx.xxxx to version 2.xx.xxxx) significant new functionality and enhancements are made available. Such upgrades are not normally provided to licensed users free of charge, so there will generally be an upgrade fee involved.
